This expression is bottled at cask strength and it was matured in an American Oak ex-bourbon barrel for 16 years. The Ben Nevis distillery create some amazing whisky but this offering of a 16 year old single cask is extremely rare and should not be missed. Distilled in December 1998 and bottled March 2015 by Douglas of Drumlanrig this single cask single malt is bottled at 51.7% abv and is limited to 296 bottles. Our Tasting Notes Nose: An beautiful floral aroma enhances the grassy notes and opens up to vanilla. Taste: Fresh hay leads to green apples, vanilla and kumquats.
