Glenturret Aged 10 Years Peat Smoked Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml) Volume: 700ml ABV: 50% Age: 10 Years Country: Scotland Glenturret is said to be the oldest single Highland malt distillery in Scotland. It was officially established in 1775, though the site dates back to 1717 when there was numerous illicit stills in Glenturret. It was closed in the mid 1920’s and then resurrected in the late 1950’s by Peter Fairlie who repositioned The Macallan brand globally. The distillery is focused on the blended whisky Famous Grouse of which it has a visitors centre named ‘The Famous Grouse ’ which attracts over 120,000 visitors annually. This peat smoked 10 year old comes from the same stills as the normal un-peated spirit and has been bottled at 50% ABV Our Tasting Notes Nose: smokey fudge, citrus and slight chocolatey notes Taste: continued citrus, with heavy malt and smoke Finish: ash and burned toffee.
