The distillery would open right next to Jack Daniel’s prime resource: the mineral-rich Cave Spring Hollow. in 1904 Jack Daniel’s “Old No 7” wins a Gold Medal at the World’s Fair in St Louis, the first of 7 Gold Medals it would win, it has been the standard for Tennessee Whisky and a go-to for millions ever since. Japser “Jack” Daniel died in 1906 after not being able to open his safe at work, kicking it in frustration and breaking his toe. The injury worsened and deteriorated, ultimately cause his death.   Jack Daniel’s Straight Rye is bottled at 45% ABV, Straight Rye has it’s 70% rye grain hand selected for a full and spicy character, is mellowed by passing drop by drop through sugar maple charcoal before being matured in Jack Daniels’ own handcrafted barrels.   Our Tasting Notes Nose: Toasted grain, with chocolate and caramel sweetness Palate: Baking spices and a smooth, milk chocolatey sweetness, a late hint of apple pie Finish: Spicy, not too long lasting    .
