This one was discovered after an experiment was carried out after the Springbank Chairman set out to prove it was possible to create a Islay style Single Malt on the Scottish mainland. The barley used to produce this Single Malt is entirely peat dried offering a wonderful smokey peaty caharcteristic. This one a vintage bottling from 1996 which has a wonderful balance of smoke and brine. Our Tasting Notes Nose: Floral on the nose, hints of heather and thyme, with a slight smokiness starting to flow through. Palate: Smokiness with peat and a sweetness you get from poached orange rind and a hint of citrus. Finish: Again a long finish on this Longrow wth oak and citrus.. For adults of legal drinking age.
