Volume: 700ml ABV: 51.3% Age: 13 Years Old Country: Scotland Longrow was first distilled in 1973 and is a double distilled, heavily peated single malt produced by the Springbank Distillery. Less than 100 casks of Longrow are filled each year making this whisky a very unique item. This Longrow Red Single Malt has been matured for 12 years in ex-bourbon barrels followed by 15 months in fresh ex-Malbec barriques from the De Toren Private Cellar in Stellenbosch South Africa. Only 9000 bottles at cask strength have been released worldwide Official Tasting Notes Nose: A very coastal beginning; sea salt with a fresh breeze, then becomes fruity; sweet cocktail cherries, blackberries and red currants. A faint and subtle note of cigar boxes and tobacco comes through. Palate: The fruitiness continues with rhubarb crumble, stewed apples and juicy plums. Current ham follows with a very soft and delicate touch of peat with more coastal sea salt notes. Finish: Red wine tannins dominate, combined with smouldering campfire smoke and the ever present fresh fruit notes of prunes and cherries. . For adults of legal drinking age. Please drink responsibly.
