Introduction:
This signature cuvée of the House is a round and vibrant non-vintage Cuvée Brut recalling the rich variety of its blend of 100 crus from across the patchwork of Champagne vineyards.

Tasting notes:
Just like a self-assured romantic character with a strong and chatty personality, this champagne teases and allures us with its festive, light-drenched, pale gold shimmer and joyful display of neat, lively bubbles.

Notes of almond and fresh hazelnut accompany the precise ascent of its bubbles. It is lively, subtle and light, leaving a deliciously incisive sensation of smoothness, marked by the pureness of fresh pear and apple and a delicate hint of citrus fruits.

A harmonious mixture of bright, crunchy pomelo, blonde grapes and juicy white fruits creates the delightfully surprising sensation of lightness embraced by the structure and depth from the Pinot Noir; all beautifully balanced.

Technical Characteristics:
50-55% Pinot Noir, 30-35% Meunier, 15-20% Chardonnay.
10-20% reserve wines.

Background Information:
Piper-Heidsieck was founded by Florens-Louis Heidsieck on July 16, 1785 in Reims. After the founder died in 1828, the business was taken over by his nephew, Christian Heidsieck, and his cousin Henri-Guillaume Piper. They combined to form the Piper-Heidsieck house when Henri Piper married the widow of Christian Heidsieck in 1838.

The house currently produces a number of champagnes using a non-malolactic, low-dosage method:

– Cuvée Brut(non-vintage). Composition:50-55%Pinot Noir, 15-20% Chardonnay, 30-35% Pinot Meunier. Dosage 10g/l.

– Rosé Sauvage(non-vintage). Composition:50-55% Pinot Noir of which 20-25% vinified as red wines, 15-20% Chardonnay, 30-35% Pinot Meunier. Dosage 10.5g/l.

– Cuvée Sublime(non-vintage) A demi-sec Champagne. Composition:50-55% Pinot Noir, 15-20% Chardonnay, 30-35% Pinot Meunier. Dosage 35g/l.

– Brut Vintage 2006/2008(vintage) A special release from a year considered exceptional by Piper-Heidsieck. Vintage 2008: 48% Pinot Noir, 52% Chardonnay. Dosage 9.5g/l.

– Cuvée Rare(vintage 2002). Composition:70% Chardonnay, 30% Pinot Noir. Dosage 9.5g/l.

– Cuvée Rare Rose (vintage 2007). Composition:56% Chardonnay, 44%Pinot Noir. Dosage 9.5g/l
