Whisky produced at Shene is proudly milled, mashed, fermented, distilled, matured, and bottled onsite. Elixir of Life is primarily aged in smaller 20 Litre Australian Apera casks. When the time is right, it was further matured in Pedro Ximenez casks from Jerez de la Frontera in Andalusia, Spain. Spanish oak gives strong flavours, making this a bold and interesting whisky. Our Tasting Notes Nose: Strong sherry on the nose, dried fruits and citrus peel, slight toffee sweetness Palate: More of that sherry up front, sweet caramel and orchard fruits, with a touch of coco or dark chocolate.
